Every household that uses tap water will have varying levels of chorine in their water, so for the Pure Guard Pro to cleanse your produce consistently we need to make sure Hypohalous acid can be produced during every cycle. Adding sodium (simple table salt) can ensure this reaction is possible 100% of the time. We recommend 5g of salt per litre of water you use. (that’s 1 teaspoon per litre). This will also mean households that use filtered water which will be chorine free, can still generate a deep cleanse.
