How Do i Turn on / off?
The device is very simple to use:
Turning on > The Pure Guard Pro has 2 cycles:
- Mild Purification Mode (click the power button once) the light will turn GREEN during the 5 minutes cycle.
- Deep Purification Mode (click the power button twice) the light will turn BLUE during the 10 minute cycle.
At any time, press and hold the power button and the device will switch off.
do i have to add salt?
Hypochlorous acid is the key element that sterilises your produce. For water to create this element there needs to be chorine present. Every household that uses tap water will have varying levels of chorine in their water depending on your location, so for the Pure Guard Pro to cleanse your produce consistently we need to make sure Hypohalous acid can be produced during every cycle.
Adding sodium (simple table salt) can ensure this reaction is possible 100% of the time. We recommend 5g of salt per litre of water you use. (that’s 1 teaspoon per litre). This will also mean households that use filtered water which will be chorine free, can still generate a deep cleanse.
What types of produce can I clean with Pure Guard Pro?
Pure Guard Pro is suitable for cleaning a wide variety of fruits and vegetables, including leafy greens, berries, apples, and root vegetables. It effectively removes contaminants from all types of produce. You can even clean your meat and seafood.
Is the pure guard pro waterproof?
Yes, Pure Guard Pro is designed to be waterproof and meets IPX7 (NOT including charging base) standards, ensuring safe operation even when exposed to water.
How do i know when the battery is low?
Mild Cleanse - When the GREEN light is on for 10 seconds and the red light is on for 5 seconds, this indicates low battery.
Deep Cleanse - When the BLUE light is on for 10 seconds and the red light is on for 5 seconds, this indicates low battery.
If you try to turn the device on and the red indicator light is on for 5 seconds, this indicates that the battery is too low and needs to be charged.

Customer Concerns
How often do i need to clean the device?
We Recommend giving the device a rinse after every use. If you notice any debris in the main body cover, use a soft brush to remove.
is one cleaning cycle enough to purify all my produce?
This is a question we get a lot. During our lab testing we used 3L of water during for our testing, so we know the results are guaranteed with this amount. If you are cleaning a lot of produce at once and more than 3L of water is needed, then we would recommend 2 cycles for optimal purification.
Is your product 3rd party lab tested?
Yes, we sent the Pure Guard Pro to a 3rd party lab to run tests on it's effectiveness to remove pesticides and bacteria. You can view our lab test results here.
How does the device actually clean my produce?
The Pure Guard Pro cleans your produce using advanced electrolysis technology, ensuring the removal of pesticides, bacteria, viruses, mould, fungus and other contaminants. Here’s how it works:
Electrolysis Process:
- Electrode Plates: The device features two electrode plates, an anode (+) and a cathode (-). When electricity passes through these plates in water, it initiates the electrolysis process.
- Generation of Cleaning Agents: This process produces hypochlorous acid (HOCl) and sodium hydroxide (NaOH), both of which are powerful cleaning agents. HOCl, in particular, is known for its strong disinfecting properties.
Removal of Pesticides and Bacteria:
- Hypochlorous Acid: This compound effectively breaks down and neutralises pesticides and bacteria on the surface of fruits and vegetables. It oxidises the cell walls of bacteria and deactivates pesticide residues, rendering them harmless.
- Sodium Hydroxide: NaOH aids in breaking down organic matter, further ensuring that the produce is thoroughly cleaned.
Salt Addition: For enhanced cleaning efficiency, a small amount of salt can be added to the water. Salt (sodium chloride) improves the production of hypochlorous acid during the electrolysis process, increasing the effectiveness of the cleaning action.
No Harmful Chemicals: The process uses tap water and optional natural additives like salt, ensuring no harmful chemicals are added to your produce.
Preserves Nutrition: The technology effectively removes contaminants without compromising the nutritional quality of your fruits and vegetables.

what happens to the contaminate after they are removed from my produce?
We get this question a lot & there is a real simple answer to this. When contaminates are removed from the surface of your produce, they are deformed into non-harmful substances, so it doesn't matter if they remain in the water.
We do recommend to rinse your produce after it is removed from the tub or sink with clean water.
A lot of my produce floats during the cycle, will it still be purified?
During the cleaning cycle, you will find your produce will float (depending on what you are purifying), it's important to mix around and stir every few minutes to ensure a thorough cleanse. Try to avoid contact with the device when doing so.
Once my cycle is finished should i remove the produce straight away?
No, you should leave the produce in the water for 5-10 minutes to allow the electrolyte to fully act. Then, remove produce and give it a rinse with clean water.
